A Practice You Return To

ShadowSmith: The Journey is a practice for meeting what is asking for your attention now. The workshop offers a place to learn the practice in community, with gentle guidance, reflection, and facilitated conversation.

You take the practice home with you. The kit is not simply workshop material; it is the physical system that supports the ongoing practice. With the board and three decks—The Call, The Guides, and The Waypoints—you can continue working with ShadowSmith on your own.

The practice is circular. What calls for our attention today may or may not be what we need to explore later. We can return to ShadowSmith when something new calls.

Your Journey, Your Choices

The work is intuitive and lightly guided. The questions offer doorways, but you decide which doors to open, how far to enter, and what meaning you make of what you encounter. You may answer aloud, privately, indirectly, or not at all.

Returning Home

Returning Home is not simply the end of a journey. We return to our lives, life continues, and eventually something else may call for our attention.

We can end and begin in the same moment. When life changes, we change, and what asks for our attention changes, ShadowSmith remains a practice we can return to. Each return can offer a different doorway into what is present now.
